Carla Klimp
(She/Her), LLMSW
I believe that healing is possible and that people have the capacity to grow in a way that allows them peace and wellness. I seek to provide a safe and validating space for you to explore your experience and identify ways to enhance your inner strengths, enact positive change, and find joy within yourself, your relationships and the world around you.
My approach is person centered and holistic, integrating mindfulness interventions, knowledge of neuroscience, and traditional psychodynamic approaches to address both thought patterns and behaviors.
A dedicated 20 year career in Social Work has prepared me to work with Teen and Adult individuals to address depression, anxiety, family and relationship issues, social adjustment, postpartum and midlife onset mood disorders, life transitions, and health concerns. I have a special interest in the unique challenges of gifted children.
I received my Master Degree from Western Michigan University and a Master’s Certificate in Psychological Testing and School Social Work from the University of Michigan. My career history includes private practice, extensive experience in medical settings providing crisis intervention and mental health services, and work in the schools. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
